Hybrid Shape

Our Hybrid Shape is our most popular and best-selling shape. The wider nose and shorter overall length of these boards is more forgiving, making them the best choice for beginner and intermediate riders, as well as advanced riders who prefer the responsiveness and easy-to-use style of this shape. Excellent for ANY skim conditions. This is the preferred shape of World Champions Austin Keen and Blair Conklin as well as other elite Exile team riders.

51.30" x 19.72" - 100 - 155 lbs.

The EX1's construction has just gotten a whole lot better with our brand new HammerTech™ Construction. Why do we call it HammerTech™? Well, I bet you might be able to make some pretty good, educated guesses. That's right, we've put a great deal of effort into dramatically improving the overall durability of our EX1 construction. Boards with this construction process are tough as nails and actually slightly lighter than the previous generation of EX1 construction. We've literally taken hammers to our boards built with HammerTech™, and they've held up beyond our wildest expectations. With that said, certainly no board is indestructible, or should be treated as such. But we are confident that HammerTech™ construction boards are the most durable boards at their price on the market!

3/4'' Tapered to 5/8'' thickness means that the center of the core is 3/4'' thick and thins out to 5/8'' (roughly) in the nose and tail. This creates added buoyancy while keeping the board maneuverable, just not quite as responsive as the 5/8''. This thickness is typically more ideal for slight below average to slightly above average wave height and strength.

HYBRID ROCKER

The Hybrid Rocker is what we put on 90% of the boards we produce, and is the most versatile skimboard rocker for skimming anything from the Gulf Coast of Florida to Cabo. It clocks in roughly at 2.25" in the nose and about .125" in the tail with a fairly good size flat spot in the middle of the board. This allows the board to transition from sand to water easily, be super fast, and turn on a dime. If you aren't sure, this would be our pick!

Our Micro Texture Finish is a slight matte finish featured on our HammerTech™ Construction. This finish makes the boards slightly lighter overall. Additionally, we've found this finish on the bottom gives the board a slight increase in speed, and allows for great traction application on the deck.
